Tarpeez Soft Bed Cover (Standard 6 1/2 ft bed) Review

I love the Tarpeez and will buy another one, or hopefully receive a replacement for Christmas, but it won't come from the Tarpeez warranty department.But after about a year of excellent service, I managed to destroy the first one I bought.

Some tips to avoid destroying your Tarpeez:

1. Do not load your truck full of camping equipment with lots of pointy things aimed up at the tarp.Freeway speeds for 100 miles will wear tiny holes in the Tarpeez fabric as it flaps. Actually when I realized what had happened, I was amazed that it sustained relatively little damage.

2. Do not allow an overenthusiastic mob of boy scouts to load firewood into your truck without first removing the Tarpeez for them.The Tarpeez is not a good hammock for 200lbs of logs, especially when those logs have not been properly lopped.

3. Do not try to wrap your Tarpeez over an oddly-shaped pile of furniture and wooden crates that rises above the level of your cab. Especially if you have not repaired all the little punctures from the camping trip.400 miles of freeway-speed wind (and 25-to-30mph headwinds through Morongo Valley at 75mph = brief 100mph+ winds!) will shred it to tatters.

Moral of the story: use the proper tarp for the job, if it's a heavy duty job.But 95% of the time, the Tarpeez is perfect.
