I bought this product because I have a 1977 Corvette that I haul on a car hauler trailer. PreviouslyI had been getting some rock chips on the front fenders. I have hauled the Corvette and my boat a couple of times since I have installed the rock tamers and have no new chips! The install is easy and straight forward.Plus I really like the looks of it on my pickup - makes it look like a real truck now! The product is top quality through and through. The rubber mats are very heavy and will stop almost anything. I was looking at getting the brush type and I am glad I went with the Rock Tamers. Big rocks would still be able to get through the brush, but not throught the rock tamers.I saw an earlier post about the install and that guy said he used a drill and a jig saw prepare the mats. I did that as well and it made it real easy. The rubber is pretty heavy duty and would be difficult to cut by hand. Plus, using a jig saw made it easy to get a nice straight line.
This is a great product, and I like the flexibility of being able to quicky remove it from the hitch if necessary. I will be recommending this to all my friends who haul their cars/boats!
