TAILGATE HANDLE ford RANGER 98-05 gate truck Review

My Son's tailgate handle broke off and I thought for sure that it would cost a fortune to replace at the dealer...and I was right!Over $100 to replace a plastic handle???You've got to be kidding, right?

I went on Amazon and found the exace part for under $20!The best part of all is the it was SIMPLE TO INSTALL the new tailgate handle.All that is necessary is to have the tools required, which most people have on hand like I did.All you have to do is remove a few bolts and the old, broken part comes right out and the new one easily slides into place.Just make the necessary adjustments to make sure it works properly...and spray some WD40 on the latch mechanism to make sure it releases easily moving forward and you're good to go.Our old latch broke mainly because it wasn't greased regularly and since the handle is plastic, it was binding up and then the plastic gave way...so make sure you spay some lubricant in all of the necessary places when you have the tailgate apart.
